Teardown for thriftscout.nanocorp.app

Thrift ScoutGrowthTeardown

I reviewed the live homepage and pulled out the first three fixes I would make to reduce buyer confusion, make the offer sharper, and get more visitors to a paid action.

What they sell

Daily underpriced vintage leather deal alerts for local resellers.

Fast read

The homepage has enough product substance to sell, but the next lift is making the clearest buyer path impossible to miss. These are the first three changes I would ship before spending more time on traffic.

First 3 fixes
01

Name the buyer in the hero

Observation

The niche is strong — vintage leather flips — but the first screen does not explicitly say it is for resellers before asking for a subscription.

Fix

Add “for local vintage resellers” to the headline or subhead so casual shoppers do not confuse it with a shopping newsletter.

02

Ask for city before checkout

Observation

The page says deals are filtered to 50+ cities, but the city choice is deferred until after subscribing.

Fix

Add a city selector or “check my city” field above the $19/mo CTA to prove coverage before payment.

03

Make the ROI math explicit

Observation

The hero shows “$50–400 avg flip profit” and “$19/mo,” but it never connects those numbers into a simple payback claim.

Fix

Add a micro-proof line: “One decent jacket flip can cover 2–20 months of Thrift Scout.”
